1 – Why I find Gerry O’Sullivan ‘s book, “The Mediator’s Toolkit: Formulating and Asking Questions for Successful Outcomes” particularly useful for running mediation simulations with ChatGPT- a popular, free AI tool available in more than 90 languages.
2 – How mediators from around the world, interested in “AI-driven Mediation Skills Development,” will soon be able to share tips, best practices, and upcoming online events at the intersection of AI and mediation.

Description
In this webinar Giuseppe Leone, a retired mediator always curious about innovative solutions, will share his insights, experience, and lessons learned from extensive mock mediations with ChatGPT, a popular free Artificial Intelligence (AI) system.
In the last six months, he spent a significant amount of time simulating commercial, family and workplace disputes with ChatGPT: – With just two parties or with two parties and their attorneys. – Holding joint and private meetings (sometimes called ‘caucus’) with the parties and their attorneys. – Employing an unseen co-mediator: an ‘Assistant,’ who remains hidden from the participants but is constantly ready to offer helpful advice to the mediator.
Demonstration of the learning
Following Giuseppe Leone’s presentation, there will be a brief demo of a mediation simulation with ChatGPT portraying two parties and their attorneys.
By the end of this 1-hour webinar, participants will have the knowledge to start using ChatGPT for practicing and sharpen their mediation skills on their own – on their time and at their pace – using Giuseppe Leone’s straightforward 3-step method.
1 – Set the Stage.
2 – Go for it. Mediate as you wish.
3 – What did you learn from this simulation with ChatGPT?
You are very welcome to join us!
