Certified Mediation Training – 8 – day Programme

This is generic training for those who wish become accredited mediators or who would like to use mediation skills within their current working environment. This generic mediation training will cover organisational and workplace disputes, community disputes and civil and commercial disputes.

This training includes assessment for accreditation with The Mediators’ Institute of Ireland as a "Certified Mediator". The MII is the professional body for Mediators in Ireland, North and South. Their web site contains details on becoming a mediator. Their web site address is: www.themii.ie

This certified mediation training will give you add-on skills for your current work and also another career option. This generic course has been delivered by Gerry O'Sullivan in the University of Limerick to participants from the UL "Masters in Arts: Peace and Development Studies" programme.

BULLYING AND HARASSMENT - 2 - Day Programme A holistic approach to prevent and address bullying and harassment in the workplace

Our two-day programme on bullying and harassment not only focuses on how to investigate a complaint, but also on understanding the concepts, and how to put in place a workable prevention strategy.

Day two of the programme will equip participants with a greater understanding of how to handle complaints of bullying and harassment through an informal process using mediation skills. The informal process is widely seen to be the most effective intervention in dealing with a complaint.

Interpersonal conflict, in particular bullying and harassment is damaging to any work environment. Research suggests that bullying and harassment may be happening in your organisation right now It is the interest of every business to understand how to prevent and address such issues.
